Jeff Lofton – “ATX Rhythm”
Jeff Lofton has released a new album of original and well known songs exploring the essence of Texas, ATX Rhythm. Some of these songs may not have seemed like Jazz pieces until Jeff played them.
Jeff Lofton is originally from South Carolina where he got his start as a musician. Now he’s part of the Austin Jazz Scene. He is not only a talented player but a Jazz Scholar, learning from other great artists while bringing his own personal magic to the music.

I really enjoyed your chat with Jeff Lofton. It isn’t often that I hear of a jazz artist whose initial inspiration came from classical music, but it possibly explains the quality of this guy’s work. Thank you for introducing me to his music.
