The WOOL studio is in Bellows Falls, Vermont, and the broadcast antenna is on the tower atop Mount Kilburn (Fall Mountain) in New Hampshire. Within the bounds of our license we have a powerful broadcast footprint and cover a significant region for our listening audience
We’re entirely supported by memberships, contributions, and underwriting — but mostly by memberships. We air no advertising, and are 100% propelled by the good will of our community.
WOOL is managed by the coordinated effort of its board and committees. Our governing structure relies heavily on the activity of the board of directors and of ad hoc committees arising in response to the ongoing needs of the station.
WGRN-LP 94.1 FM in Columbus, Ohio
WGRN-LP 94.1 is a low-power FM radio station located in Columbus, Ohio. WGRN-LP 94.1 is a Project of the Central Ohio Green Education Fund and a non-profit, all volunteer-run, low power station that initiated operations in April 2016. WGRN-LP 94.1 is a Pacifica Radio Network affiliate featuring women-guided programming, airing women’s voices and programming committed to the environment, sustainability, community, social justice, cultural diversity and an eclectic mix of non-commercial music & arts meant to advance and enhance quality of life in our listening community. WGRN-LP 94.1 promotes the Key Green Values, which are based on the Four Core Principles of Ecological wisdom, Social justice, Grassroots democracy, and Nonviolence.
KCEI 90.1 FM in Taos, New Mexico
Cultural Energy is a nonprofit organization formed in 2003 to create radio and other media productions for Northern New Mexico.
Our independent organization was formed to open a production facility and hire staff to train and coordinate volunteers who want to create media voices for youth, arts & activism. We produce media segments and offer completed works to radio stations locally and nationally for broadcast and web casting. We also train youth to produce their own segments.
Paradigms airs on KCEI irregularly.
KOCF 92.7 FM in Veneta, Oregon
The station started broadcasting July 1st, 2015. KOCF is a low power community radio station broadcasting to the Fern Ridge Communities of Elmira, Veneta, Noti, Crow, Alvadore, and surrounding communities of Coburg, Junction City, and parts of West Eugene on 92.7 FM. We also stream all of our programming 24x7x365 at kocf.org for the rest of the planet.
KCBP 95.5 FM in Modesto, California
In 2017, we began our radio journey with our small group of volunteers. Our internet stream launched in late July 2017 and has been running ever since. In 2019 KCBP began transmitting on 95.5 FM 24 hours/day. The “Voice of the Valley,” is a Modesto Peace/Life Center (MPLC) project.
WXEP-LP 101.FM in San Antonio, Texas
The Empower House 101.5 launched in 2018 with the goal of empowering youth and adults through thoughtful on-air conversations, media, and education.
