Aimée Allen grew up listening to jazz and singing. As a young adult Aimée made her way to Paris to study music, and it is there she started performing professionally. Aimée has since traveled the world bringing her own stylings to well known standards, and performing her original songs.
Love and the Catalyst, Aimée’s fifth record, is a combination of a few covers and mostly original songs written by Aimée, performed with Aimée’s band: Toru Dodo on piano, François Moutin on bass, Kush Abadey on drums, with guests Tony Romano and Noah Allen, on guitar and trumpet respectively.
The music is captivating and topical, the conversation is passionate, enjoy!
Congratulations Aimée for Love and the Catalyst being nominated for the 54th Annual NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Jazz Album.
