Minor Empire – Ozan Boz and Ozgu Ozman – New CD Uprooted
Ozgu Ozman and Ozan Boz are from Turkey, now based in Canada. They make music that speaks to the human struggle and inspiration for justice and freedom of expression. The music is haunting, compelling, beautiful. Their band is called Minor Empire and their new CD Uprooted is a musical testament to the heartache and disorientation a person feels when their homeland has become alienating, and to the inspiration that drives human creativity.
Baruch speaks with Ozan and Ozgu about Turkey, politics, the human condition, and their music.
