Abiah – Vocalist Arranger Teacher – New CD Abiah Sings Nina
Jeremiah Abiah spoke with Baruch about his life, his music, and his latest project Abiah sings Nina which is a tribute to and a celebration of Nina Simone. The music is powerful, and Abiah’s relationship with the music is equally powerful.
Jeremiah Abiah is a teacher as well as a gifted singer and arranger, currently teaching at Berklee College of Music, which is so fortunate for the students there!
Baruch and Abiah discuss the music, it’s role in society, and more, and we’ll be listening to tracks from “Abiah sings Nina” as well as other of Abiah’s recordings.
As Abiah says in the interview, his voice can have an other-worldly quality.
Music by Auguste Greene, Abiah, and Anita Baker.
