Iam from the Coast Salish tribe of B.C. Canada and practice as an Naturopath. I am very interested in the teachings of William LeSassier, can’t find where I can buy his book. William’s Triune System of Formulations. Can you tell me where which Naturopathic school he graduated and year.
Thank you for any help. Merry Christmas and thanks for any help.
I studied with William on Maui, Hawaii in 1978. It is had a lifelong benefit and impact on me and I am so very saddened to see this archive disappeared somehow in 2023. I will continue doing research. I lost a book of critical notes, I took during an eight week retreat with him, but I do know other people who were in that retreat 60 of us together on an isolated part of Maui, feel free to call me 831-419-4856. Let’s dig deeper and find this book. I would like to have a copy also many thanks !
Hi Dr Jeanne Paul,
William’s Triune System of Formulations is documented by David Winston in the Journal of the American Herbalists Guild- Vol 9 No2, Winter 2010. The whole issue available here: https://americanherbalistsguild.com/jahg-back-issues

I went to an herb walk with William back in 1975 in Santa Barbara Calif. where he passed out flyers for his “Healing School” at his home in Taos N.M. I had never heard of Taos. But was very interested in Massage and Herbs. His Class would give a Massage License and Herbalist license. I was 22 Yrs old working doing massage at the time in Carpentaria Calif. The Classes were only 50.00 a month for 5 days a week 5 or 6 hrs a day or longer (which is unbelievable)! I decided to go and drove out to Taos in my ’57 Chevy with my 2 dogs. I was also very interested in Native Culture and discovered that Taos Pueblo was in Taos too. This was very exciting to me thinking maybe I could meet some Natives and learn about their culture. Amazingly I picked up a young native hitch hiking in Arizona with his sign saying Taos Pueblo! Wow that was too coincidental so I gave him a ride & ended up being able to go live at his grandmas house on Taos Pueblo Land. This was the most amazing experience of my life. I was able to live at the Pueblo, meet the old Taos Drum maker with his gray braids below his waist. The wonderful Potter next to the drum shop, and many others. The School and William were amazing. We not only learned basic massage and herbology but also he brought in people doing many different workshops from a few hours to a few days, like crystal healing, aura clearing, polarity, reflexology, shiatsu, pressure point, and others. The workshops were intensives and there was a lot of information. I took many notes, and learned so much. We also went on herb walks around Taos learning about edible and medicinal plants. I did not finish the class, my Chevy had broken down so I was hitch hiking all around which was quite the experience in itself. I met my Sons father in Taos at that time, I was living on his rented land, in Pilar, he was a jeweler and sold jewelry at the Plaza and around Taos. My mom passed away during that time & I hitched hiked out to Calif. and went to my moms funeral and returned to Taos but a few months later my sons dad decided to go back to Calif. As I didnt have my own car or other place to live I decided to go back also to live on my moms property in Calif. William was a wonderful teacher and person. I learned a lot in the months I was there about massage, herbs and so many other healing practices, that I have used throughout my life and am so thankful for time in Taos learning from him! Even tho I did not finish the class it was an amazing experience going to his classes, along with the amazing experience of living at Taos Pueblo and meeting many native People who were very welcoming and wonderful to me also, an experience I never would have had if I hadn’t decided to go out to the “William LeSassier School of Natural Healing” I am so blessed to have been able to have this experience! I am now 72.. lived in Taos for over 10 years in recent years, moved away for 2 years and just returned to live in my beloved Taos.
